666 And The Mark Of The Beast
Introduction
The following warning from the book of Revelation regarding 666 and the mark of the beast is the severest warning found in the entire Word of God, but what is the real truth about 666 and the mark of the beast?
Revelation 14:9-11 “And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.”
People today are totally confused on this issue as there is a multitude of interpretations on what 666 and the mark of the beast is. Many believe that 666 is the mark of the beast but note closely what Revelation 13:17 says, “And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the Mark, OR the Name of the beast, OR the Number of his name.” Did you note that the number and the mark are two separate things?
Revelation 19:20 says, “He deceived them that had received the mark of the beast.” Notice that those who receive the mark of the beast are deceived. It stands to reason therefore that 666 and the mark of the beast must involve some sort of subtle deception that is not obvious or easily noticed. If it were, how could almost the entire world be mislead? Jesus warned us that Satan’s deceptions are so deceptive they can “deceive, if possible, even the elect.” Matthew 24:24. How deceptive would it be for someone to command everyone to accept a computerized biochip or verichip in their foreheads or in their hands? The Bible does not specifically say it will be a “miniature biochip” or even that it will involve technology at all. These modern words, “computer,” “biochip,” “technology,” “bar code,” and “scanner” do not appear in Revelation. People just assume that it will happen this way. How many real people do you know who would accept big government implanting biochip technology inside their heads?
2 Peter 1:20 says, “Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.” Since the Bible has no reasonable reference to technology, what are these thoughts? If they do not exist then they are private interpretation. This is not allowed or necessary and would also be considered as adding to the book of Revelation, which also carries a severe warning. Revelation 22:18-19 “For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: 19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.”
The real truth on 666 and the mark of the beast is right under our eyes, but most fail to see it because instead of loving God with all their heart, might and soul, they fight with all their heart, might and soul not to acknowledge or understand something that is extremely important to God, and so they cannot see what is right in front of them. Satan has achieved a huge victory over the Church on this issue and would no doubt be why Jesus said the entire world would be deceived. God sincerely asked us to remember something and most of the world has not only forgotten but does not want to know.
So where does the reasoning come from that 666 or the mark of the beast must be technology anyway? It is pure unallowed speculation normally based on the following verse.
Revelation 13:17 “And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.”
It is assumed that if one cannot buy or sell then it must be controlled by some form of technology, and while this may even play a deceptive part, it is not 666 or the mark of the beast. Look at the above passage very closely. Note it says that you cannot buy or sell unless you have the MARK OR the NAME OR the NUMBER of his name. If the mark was a computer chip and you did not have the MARK but you had the NAME, you WOULD still be able to buy and sell. Clearly the thoughts of computer chips or other technology are speculation and do not fit the context of the other Bible criteria.
Ask yourself the question as to why God would pour out His most fiercest wrath on you based on an implanted biochip which could be forced and hence cannot always be a free will decision. Why would this incur such anger from God? Some would say because it is the mark of the beast which is the mark of the devil. Many believe that 666 is the devil’s number and when they envisage the phrase the “mark of the beast” they instantly associate that with Satan also. The first thoughts that typically come to mind are something beastly and horrible like many envisage Satan who was actually created a beautiful angel. The fact is, the Bible uses the term “Beast” to describe a kingdom just as many nations today have an animal or beast that represents their country. The following verse also proves beyond doubt that the devil is not the beast for those not convinced.
Revelation 20:10 “And THE DEVIL that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where THE BEAST and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.”
Daniel chapter 7 describes four beasts coming out of the sea and the fourth is indeed very horrible in appearance but what does the interpreting angel say these four beasts represent?
Daniel 7:17 “These great beasts, which are four, are four kings, which shall arise out of the earth.” And Daniel 7:23 speaking of Pagan Rome says, “Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces.”
In this document you will discover conclusively something that was discovered first in 1517 by Martin Luther and many others, which is that the mark of the beast is the mark of the Roman Catholic Church. Thus, what we are dealing with is not the mark of the devil but the mark of the Catholic Church.
All these following people knew that the Papal Church is the little horn of Daniel 7, which is synonymous with the first beast of Revelation 13 that enforces 666 and the mark, and many of them died by the hand of the Roman Catholic Church. Is the Catholic Church going to enforce computer chips upon us one day and why would they do so? And again, why would this make God so angry that He would pour out His full wrath upon you. This is our most merciful and forgiving God that sent His only son to die for our sins. Clearly, there is more to this and why we are told that those who receive the mark are DECEIVED. The Catholic Church has enforced many things by death over the centuries but it was never technology, it was always their religious viewpoint that was enforced by death and Revelation says it will be again.
As for 666 being the devil’s number, the Bible says it is the number of a MAN and this man is from the BEAST power, or in other words, from the Roman Catholic Church. Does the Catholic Church have a man at its head?
Revelation 13:18 “Here is wisdom. Let him that has understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.”
Every single person gets either the Mark of God (seal) or the Mark of the Beast in their forehead. This is obviously symbolic unless one believes that God is going to implant those who do not get the mark of the Catholic Church with a biochip or other technology. Obviously not. You will find numerous times in the Bible that the forehead represents your heart and mind while your hands represent your actions. This is all symbolic as is 666 and the mark of the beast, which is something that is going to be a free will decision and will be something that God truly does care about. What has the Roman Catholic Church done that has most impacted His Church and why God is going to pour out His wrath on the Papal Church before the Second Coming of Christ? This is what this final choice will be all about. Who will we worship? The beast or God. What defines worship and what did the Catholic Church do in this regards? What is the whole theme of the Bible all about? Why is the Old Testament all about bringing forth the seed that saves us from our sins? So again, what is the whole Bible theme essentially all about and what is it that God truly detests? Wilful unrepented sin!
The symbolism of hand and forehead in regards to 666 and the mark of the beast is not something found only in the book of Revelation and by no coincidence is also where God’s Ten Commandment law is symbolized.
Deuteronomy 6:5-8 NIV “Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. 6 These Commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. 7 Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. 8 Tie them as SYMBOLS on your HANDS and bind them on your FOREHEADS.”
Following the passage in Revelation 14 on the consequences of receiving the number 666 or the mark of the beast is a verse that describes those who do not get the mark of the beast. This group keep the Commandments of God and as a result do not get the mark. Why would this be?
Revelation 14:12 “Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.”
Would you receive God’s fiercest wrath if you knowingly chose to follow the commandments of a persecuting power, that received its position from Satan, when it is in TOTAL REBELLION against God and His LAW? Do you think this would anger God? I pray that as you proceed with this study that you will be prepared to consider everything with an open mind, and while it may seem less sinister, it is Biblical, not speculation and something that is a free will decision and what the Bible reveals from Genesis to Revelation that God cannot accept and is the reason why God frequently punished Israel.
